Padilla NOT Tortured

File this under duh.

AP:

A federal judge refused to dismiss terrorism charges against a suspected al-Qaida operative over claims he was tortured in U.S. military custody, but the possibility that the allegations could resurface at his upcoming trial was left open.

Padilla's been trying everything to keep from being tried, but keeps getting shot down. His claims of torture are about as ridiculous as it gets.

He claimed that he was forced to stand in painful stress positions, given LSD or some other drug as a "truth serum," subjected to loud noises and noxious odors, and forced to endure sleep deprivation, extreme heat and cold and harsh lights.

LSD? Sodium pentothal maybe, but that's not torture. In fact, it's perfectly legal. The funniest part of this is that sodium pentothal (a barbiturate) is used to reduce pain ... not cause it.

As for the other stuff he's claiming ... I had worse treatment in football practice, and the military. Quit crying so we can execute you already. You're dead to rights if you cracked under sodium pentothal anyway.
