Family members of Ignacio Ramos, the former El Paso Border Patrol agent imprisoned for shooting a drug smuggler in the buttocks and not reporting it, said Ramos was beat up by other inmates Saturday.
WND has more on the incident:
Ramos's wife Monica and father-in-law Joe Loya confirmed that Ramos says he was assaulted in prison on Saturday night by a group of five Spanish inmates who Ramos took to be illegal immigrants.

It also appears the bullet was never matched to Ramos' weapon. WND is all over this case. It is particular interesting that Davila attempted to smuggle even more drugs into the US, was caught again, and was extended amnesty for that charge as well in exchange for his testimony. NOT ONE THING about the case makes sense. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of WND's articles to find more stories on the case.
